CoffeeShop Photography, Blogger Design, and Image Retouching/Enhancements by Rita

Hi! I am Rita of CoffeeShop Photography. I am a stay-at-home Mom who does some part-time custom design work late at night and during my kids naps.

If you want image retouching/enhancements, I can take your own images from ordinary to extraordinary. I color/contrast correct, retouch (skin smoothing, eye enhancements, blemish removal, teeth whitening, body reshaping, etc.), remove unwanted or distracting objects, and do artistic enhancements such as toned B&W's, vivid color, soft glamour, and textures. At CoffeeShop Photography I also do custom design. If you have a boring Blogger blog that needs updating, I would love to help you out! I also create custom templates for storyboards and cards and write custom actions for Photoshop/Photoshop Elements. If you have a basic workflow or special editing task you do over and over, let me write an action for you to make your image editing faster! I was just a tiny child when I received my first camera, a 110 from a garage sale. I was an avid photographer even then and took many photos of my cats, dogs, and pet mice.

As I got older I graduated to a Canon AE-1 and as I was shooting film I did some of my own darkroom work. When digital cameras came around I was hesitant to embrace the technology, but once I bought my first Canon Digital camera I was hooked! I had started working with photo editing programs in the early 90's, but now that I did not have to scan film or negatives I was in heaven. I edited images regularly at work for scientific publications and I used editing programs at home for my own photography.

When I became a mom a few years ago my photography and photo-editing became even more a part of my life. I spent most of my free time photographing my family and friends, reading books on photography and editing, looking at tutorials on the web, and talking/writing to professional photographers. I was willing to try anything in my photography and editing, and in this way I became very comfortable with all types of basic and artistic techniques.

I eventually became interested in sharing my knowledge and started writing tutorials about photography and photo-editing and designing my own Photoshop and Photoshop Elements actions and ended up becoming an online Photoshop instructor and starting my own CoffeeShop photography-editing blog.

My love of photography and editing inspired me to start my own photography and photo enhancing/retouching business, CoffeeShop Photography, in 2008. I am a natural light photographer who specializes in baby, children, family and maternity photoshoots. I tend to shoot on location at people's homes or neighborhood parks.

Finally, after blogging for almost 2 years about editing and photography I realized there was a great need for custom action writers and inexpensive Blogger designers, so I started the custom design part of my business in 2009. I create custom photoshop actions, storyboard templates, and design Blogger blogs for women and Moms like myself, who have no time and little money, but want their photos and blogs to look great!

RETOUCHING/ENHANCEMENTS: My basic price includes color/contrast adjustments, sharpening, basic retouching (skin softening, teeth whitening, etc.), and artistic enhancements including but not limited to vivid color "pop", toned B&W, textures, and soft "dreamy" effects. I will also remove unwanted objects such as poles behind heads and merge group shots.

RETOUCHING PRICE LIST:

1-2 image: $30/image*
3 or more images: $25/image*

When you send the full resolution image to me, please include detailed instructions on enhancements/retouching you wish done to your image. I will send you a quote, and once that is approved I will start the editing process and send you the first proof. Once you see the proof, please look it over carefully and see if any more tweaking needs to be done. I will make those changes for free (as long as they fall within the enhancements named in the quote) and send one more proof for you to examine. If there are any additional tweaks needed, there could be an additional fee added to the edit, and I will send you the new quote. After the edit is finalized and I receive payment, I will send you the high-resolution digital image.

My computer system is calibrated. Please use a high quality lab such as Mpix if you have prints made of these images. The print will only be as good as the lab which prints it.

Just to let you know, I am not doing any watermark/logo design right now.

PHOTOSHOP ACTION WRITING: I custom design Photoshop and Photoshop Elements actions. Let me turn your basic workflow or enhancement steps into a time-saving action. I also write actions to create templates and automatically crop and load your images into those templates. If you have a template you have purchased or made yourself, I can write an automatic loading action for it. My most popular action is my custom crop/sharpen/rounded corners, frame, or drop shadow for the web/watermarking action ($10). This will save you so much time! Most actions run $10 -$30 and include full instructions.

TEMPLATE DESIGN: I custom design .psd templates for storyboards, greeting cards and announcements, business cards and blog/website headers. I will work with you to get the exact look you want and can even write an action for Photoshop or Photoshop Elements that will automatically crop and load your images into your custom-designed template. Most templates run from $10 to $20 depending on complexity.

BLOGGER BLOG CUSTOM DESIGN: I can make your Blogger blog shine! Let me change your template to a professional looking photoblog, or larger 2 or 3 column template. I also make/install backgrounds and design custom headers and even can design your own custom blog button. My basic blog design includes installation of a new template of your choice from my selection (templates are Blogger templates I have custom-tweaked), and a basic background and header. These templates don't have the Blogger header on top, have the option of either/or both a top and bottom horizontal menu bar, extra gadgets (if you want) and plenty of space for advertisements or photos!

CoffeeShop Photography Packages: My packages include 1-2 hours of natural light photography at your home or other local area and a DVD with professionally proofed, retouched, and enhanced digital negatives of the best images of your shoot. You have unlimited personal use of these images and can use them in any way you wish, including prints/books/cards/photo items. A written release is supplied with each package.

A session includes immediate family only - up to two adults and their children. Additional individuals can be added to the shoot for $10 each.

Package 1 ($150)

Photography session of up to 1.5 hours
5-retouched/enhanced digital negatives

Package 2 ($250)

Photography session for up to 2 hours
10-retouched/enhanced digital negatives

A la carte digital negatives

$35 each with purchase of Package 1, or $25 each with Package 2. These are in addition to the negatives you are already receiving in your package.

Print Prices: If you would like to have prints added to your CoffeeShop Package order, please consider the options below. All images are printed at a professional photolab.

WATERMARK DESIGN: I am now doing some limited watermark design when I have the time. You can see some samples of my newest watermarks HERE. Most watermarks run $50 and include a Photoshop or Photoshop Elements action that crops and sharpens your images for the web and places the watermark on your image.
